A stocked kitchen can make arrival easier, especially for families and groups reaching the villa at different times. Start with the essentials you want ready: breakfast items, drinks, snacks and ingredients for meals you will prepare. The request should use actual quantities rather than a broad instruction to fill the kitchen.

Pre-stocking depends on shopping availability, delivery timing and permission to enter the home. We coordinate the request with an independent provider and the villa contact. Specific brands or products are not guaranteed; the proposal should explain how unavailable items and substitutions are handled.

Build a shopping list that avoids duplicate orders

Organize the list by your first few meals and the number of people using them. Identify essential products and items where substitutes are acceptable. If a chef is also requested, agree which ingredients the chef supplies and remove those from the general shopping list. Confirm who will purchase drinks, ice and household items.

The property manager needs to approve delivery access and confirm where groceries can be stored. Establish who receives the order, checks it and places perishable items in suitable storage. A flight arrival time alone is not enough to schedule a delivery if the villa is not available. For dietary requirements, check product suitability with the responsible provider rather than relying on an assumed brand match.

How to compare a proposal

Ask whether the proposal separates groceries, shopping time, delivery and any additional charges. Agree a budget, currency, receipts, substitutions and approval for spending above the allowance. Confirm what happens if access is delayed or an item cannot be found. Do not assume a delivery fee includes the food itself.
